  • These workouts really work. If you follow the workouts as prescribed, you will see some dramatic results. Furthermore, most of the exercises are fairly straight forward and uncomplicated, especially for those with some previous experience with working out.
  • Tony Horton, the instructor, is a good choice. His approach is very motivating, which is great for a workout as challenging as this one.
  • Although some basic equipment is necessary, in general you will not have to spend a lot of money on extra equipment. Nor will you need a spotter to help you with the exercises.

Cons

  • Although much attention is paid to the workout routine, eating right is very important as well if you want to see the kinds of results advertised on TV and elsewhere.
  • These workouts do require a certain time commitment. In general, you will be spending between sixty and ninety minutes each day on different fitness routines.
  • If you are not already in fairly good shape, some of the routines may be too challenging. On the positive side, however, they do show you how to modify the moves for your skill level.
  • There is some effort made to sell to you additional nutritional supplements on the DVDs. Some maybe turned off by these additional marketing efforts.
